Breathe Clean with A New Cabin Filter for Spring

Brian Bates

Cabin Filter

With the transition into spring in Colorado, there's one thing that you should be wary of, and it is pollen. For those with allergies or sensitivities, pollen is probably a nightmare for you. As it transfers from trees, grasses, and flowers, it can cover your car and even escape into the passenger cabin. To keep the air you breathe clean this spring, this is a reminder to change out your cabin filter.

Your car's cabin filter is responsible for blocking out dust, allergens, pollen, and other harmful pollutants. It allows for a clean and fresh airflow to blow out your vents. Over time, the filter will get clogged as it collects all the bad stuff. But we believe spring is the perfect time to replace the cabin filter.

Depending on your automaker's schedule, the change interval for this filter may vary. On average, you should change it every 15,000 miles, give or take. If you live in a more polluted or dusty environment, you probably want to change it more often.

Besides clean air, there are other benefits of regularly changing this filter. Replacing the cabin air filter can eliminate any odors that may be lingering in your vehicle. Furthermore, it helps your HVAC system breathe easier and run smoother. Who doesn't want their A/C to work seamlessly throughout the spring and summer, right?

Fortunately, changing out the cabin air filter is a quick and painless process. It also isn't expensive at all. Next time you are due for auto service, please do not hesitate to ask us to check your cabin filter. For a cabin air filter change this spring, please give us a call or visit EAS Tire & Auto soon.
